Job Purpose
The Senior Specialist External Communications is responsible for supporting the Director of IR & External Communications in developing and updating the external communication strategy of the company and for its implementation, including leading and/or supporting all relevant activities, actions and events associated with it. In addition, this colleague will also be responsible for liaising with external agencies, consultancies and other external providers to structure and execute contracts, develop content as appropriate and create and deliver versus agreed workplans. The Senior Specialist will also engage with other employees and managers of the company as per guidance and as appropriate, will work closely with the internal comms responsible and, if needed, engage and discuss with the Executive Board. All activities undertaken must comply with internal and relevant industry procedures.

Project Management:
- Build and implement the External Communication Plan for the company and take responsibility for building the specific and detailed plans for key areas that are linked and critical to the Overall Communications Plan.
- Responsible for keeping an up-to-date company calendar with major milestones with external visibility that allow to communicate in an effective and timely way, in collaboration with Commercial, Medical Affairs & Research and other stakeholders that may contribute for the milestones.
- Support in the building, tracking and adjusting the External Communications budget.
Media Relations:
- Drafting preliminary content (e.g. press releases, social media, any other specialized content) for mass media, specialized media (within Pharma Industry) or company website.
- Align and finalize drafts with management.
- Assist in building relationships with media contacts and manage press inquiries.
- Support the daily management of agencies (e.g., ICR, WIZZARD, Consilium) from a content and image perspective.
- Support the external partners involved with reach outs to media.
- Support in emergency media responses as required.
Social Media Management:
- Maintain and update social media profiles (LinkedIn, website, etc.), analyze engagement metrics, and suggest improvements.
- Support the design and implementation of MoonLake social media strategy.
- Align with internal and external stakeholders the implementation of MoonLake Social Media strategy.
Research & Analysis and others:
- Monitor industry trends and competitors regarding their communication strategies.
- Prepare templates and all required content for key external presentations.
- Liaise with the internal comms responsible to maintain an integrated image, branding and design.
- Work on other relevant tasks for the company when required.
